Q: Do we require a UK Provider Reference Number (UKPRN) to make a bid?

A: Yes. All bidders will require a UKPRN, without which you will be unable to access the system. If you do not have a UKPRN, please go to the UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP) at: www.ukrlp.co.uk.

Q: What is "sustainable development" in this context?

A: It refers to how the project may be continued after the ESF funding ends.

Q: Do you want the names and qualifications of current employees?

A: If you are proposing named staff for posts in the project, the LSC would be interested in their skills and experience.

Q: Can people go to their local LSCs for advice?

A: No. The LSC is in an Open and Competitive Tendering situation and no member of staff can give you advice during that period.

Q: Is it true that the LSC is about to scrap the ESF Short Record?

A: No. We are looking at introducing a single ILR in the future, but this is still in the consulting stage. We plan to introduce this in 2008/9.
