Karen joined the Response
to Redundancy (R2R) programme run by TBG Learning, after she was made redundant from Lloyd’s Insurance in London where she had
worked as an Administrative Technician.
During her time on the 3 day programme
Karen’s confidence increased rapidly, particular within the area of self
belief and motivation. The programme also helped Karen to identify that
she possessed a wide range of transferable skills that could be used as
she began her job search.
The third day of the programme covered
the range of planning, preparing and role play for interviews. Karen
found this of great benefit and it was evident that her skills and
confidence developed during the session.
Following the 3 day course she attended a
1to1 signposting session to agree the next stage of her development, in
this case she attended a 1to1 CV workshop which concentrated on best
practice areas of presentation, content and marketing her CV.
Although it was initially
agreed that Karen would continue on the R2R
programme, she contacted TBG to advise that she had secured
a job with the CPS in Maidstone working as an Administrative Officer.
With this position Karen has transferred her skill base from insurance
into a completely new profession.
Karen contacted
TBG Learning in November, saying; “I would just like to take this
opportunity to thank you for all the help, guidance and support you have
shown and given me”. |
