Keith joined the Response
to Redundancy 3-day programme run by TBG after he was made redundant
from his job as manager of a cleaning company. In his previous role he
had been responsible for managing the accounts held by his company,
oversee his own team of cleaners, and identify and develop new business
within his area.
Although Keith was still
feeling the impact of redundancy when he began the programme, he started
to show a determination to gain the maximum benefit from all areas of
the programme from the outset. Keith found the encouragement to identify
transferable skills of particular benefit as he had not considered a
change in career path as a possible option. Combining his current skills
set with work on the content, style and layout of his CV gave him the
confidence to begin exploring other opportunities that he would have not
looked at before the programme.
Since leaving the
programme, Keith has secured a position with Euro car parks as an Area
Regional Manager. Keith is thrilled to have gained a role within a
different sector and commented on his time with the programme: “I would
just like to say a big thank you to the team at TBG. If is wasn’t for
your help and input in sorting my CV, and teaching me about transferable
skills, I would never have even considered the position I have secured.
TBG Learning is a valuable course to attend and if everybody was to take
time out to listen, ask and understand they too could open the very door
that gets them the job”. |
